April Fool, Phyllis! by Susanna Leonard Hill

Looking for a good book for April Fools' Day? Well...look no further! April Fool, Phyllis is a sequel (of sorts) to Punxsutawney Phyllis (a Groundhog Day book). Children will just love this story and they will laugh out loud. Very funny but also a good book to lead into discussions on what is and is not appropriate on April Fools' Day.

It might be April Fools' Day, but Punxsutawney Phyllis knows that winter isn't over yet. Her instincts tell her that a blizzard is brewing. Too bad no one will believe her....they all think she is pulling an April Fools prank. Luckily Phyllis uses a combination of common sense and uncommon abilities to lead the April Fools' Day treasure hunters back to safety when the storm comes on quickly. Once again Phyllis gets the last laugh in this buoyant holiday tale.
